There are a few microgreens that I would suggest a new grower to begin with and here they are.
Microgreens are a fast-growing and extremely nutritious crop that can be grown all year long indoors. There are so many microgreens to choose from, but as a beginner grower, you should start with the easier microgreens to get yourself familiar with the process.
Each microgreen plant has special requirements in terms of light, how the seeds are planted, and room temperatures. Not only that but some microgreens mold easy and we want to stay away from them at the start.

Broccoli microgreens are one of the most nutritional microgreens in the world. This microgreen grows really easily and when you harvest you have a great tasting microgreen that is similar to the full-grown produce.
Broccoli is my favorite microgreen to grow personally and I put it in smoothies, on hamburgers, on salads, and even eat them raw.

This microgreen packs a punch of flavor and adds spice to your dish. I especially like to add them to my salad or even street tacos. I also use them on my sandwiches and garnish my soups with radish microgreens.

Arugula microgreens are one of the most popular microgreens and perfect for amateur gardeners like you.
Why?
Well, it's because they grow so quickly!
You can expect your harvest to be ready in about ten days. That goes for pretty much all microgreens.
Besides, it's a popular choice for garnishing, fresh micro salads, and spicing most dishes thanks to its zesty, spicy, nutty flavors. I especially recommend this microgreen to new growers because the seeds are relatively cheap, available for about $15 per pound.

Next on my list of easy microgreens to grow is cabbage seeds.
It's a valuable addition to your microgreen garden because it's so mild and tender to eat. Besides, cabbage is packed with nutrients, containing much more vitamin C than broccoli and as much vitamin K1 as dark green vegetables.
It's about the same taste as grown cabbage but has some added zest.
There's another reason for my adding cabbage seeds to this list.
Cabbage microgreens are easy to grow; you don't even have to go through the hassle of soaking the seeds before planting them! You will learn more about its easy growing process on my how-to-grow cabbage microgreens page.

Basil on its own is a powerful herb offering so many benefits like antioxidants and protection against infections. So you can imagine what basil microgreens have to offer you!
They contain four to five times more nutrients. I also like them for their dark green color and concentrated sweet flavor, which makes them an excellent addition to my favorite smoothies and salads.
While basil microgreens are known to be a little slow to grow, you can still expect a harvest in a fortnight.

Last on my list (for now) are mustard microgreens, which are available in various colors, shapes, and degrees of spiciness. I enjoy growing mustard microgreens because they are so easy to grow, and for their strong and spicy taste, crispy texture, and freshness.
You must know the taste of mustard and expect mustard microgreens to have the same taste. Well, yes, these greens are indeed spicy, but the taste is quite different from mustard.
I can't describe the taste..you'll have to grow your mustard microgreens and find out for yourself!
